It shows aircraft anywhere in the world where the receivers are, from ADS-B and the network's own multilateration (MLAT), unfiltered: military, PIA and LADD aircraft included. Free, no account. The map is an app (tar1090) that draws everything with JavaScript: its HTML has no aircraft in it. This page says what the map does and how to link to it. The network's numbers, kept current, are in . ## Linking to what someone asks about A link opens the map on it. Parameters can be combined and are not case sensitive. - One aircraft, by its 24-bit ICAO address (hex): . Several: `?icao=4ca7b5,4ca7b6`. - One aircraft by registration (slower to open than `icao`): `?reg=EI-ABC`. - A place: (zoom 1–20). - An aircraft's track on a past day, UTC date: `?icao=4ca7b5&showTrace=2026-10-28`; `startTime=08:30:00` and `endTime=09:00:00` (UTC) narrow it. - Military and other interesting aircraft only: `?mil`. - Filters: `filterType=B738` (ICAO type code), `filterAltMin=` and `filterAltMax=` (feet), `filterDbFlag=military,pia,ladd`, `filterCallSign=^RYR` (a regular expression, URL-encoded). - A clean view to embed: `hideSidebar`, `hideButtons`. ## The data, for a program or an assistant The map is for people to look at. To get the aircraft as data: - **REST API**: live positions as JSON for any point on Earth, plus history, overflights of a place and notable traffic. A free key arrives in a minute with just an email address, and commercial use is allowed on every plan, Free included: (as Markdown: ). - **MCP server** for assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, with a live map inside the chat: . - Everything else (plans, docs, comparison with other ADS-B APIs): .
